Beckmann is survived by Karen, son Jonathan of Rochester Hills, daughter Tori (Andrew) Kughn of Clarkston, and grandchildren Pierson, Brooks and Sawyer Kughn.
There will be no funeral, Karen Beckmann said.
In lieu of flowers, she said, please donate to the Mackinac Center for Public Policy, which is creating a Frank Beckmann Center for Journalism. Online memorials can be left through Pixley Funeral Home.
A Memorial Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 17, 2022 from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Five Points Community Church, 3411 E. Walton Boulevard in Auburn Hills.
Frank was the recipient of the 2010 DSMA Ty Tyson award for Broadcasting Excellence. He received it during halftime of a Michigan Wolverines game at the Big House in Ann Arbor.
